About Wondrous Books: From a Cartoon Dream to a Publishing Journey The Spark of Inspiration

At Wondrous Books, our journey didn't start in a boardroom—it started in a flash of creativity. What began as a fun side project—designing cartoon characters for a YouTube channel travel series—unexpectedly blossomed into something much bigger.



During the creative process, PJ was busy developing characters and story arcs alongside his friend and collaborator, Sara. One night, while brainstorming adventures for their travel series, the character of "Roger the Elephant" simply appeared.



Inspired, PJ at the age of 60 for the first time ever  put pen to paper and started writing creativly, in a single, whirlwind night, he wrote his first three children’s books.That night changed everything. The passion for storytelling had been ignited, and Wondrous Books Publishing was born.

The Independent Spirit - We are proudly independent. Wondrous Books is a boutique, UK-based publishing venture fueled by genuine creativity rather than corporate formulas.

Meet the Team- PJ (The Author): The creative engine behind the stories. From late-night bursts of inspiration to our expanding library of books, PJ’s passion for writing and character development drives everything we do.

Sara (The Illustrator & Editor): The artistic soul of Wondrous Books. Sara takes PJ’s words and breathes
visual life into them. Using a blend of modern AI-assisted artistry and meticulous manual editing, she ensures every page is vibrant, engaging, and perfect for young eyes.

Our Books: Designed for Young Explorers - Our books are carefully crafted for children aged 5–10. We focus on themes of travel, friendship, and discovery, ensuring that every story is both entertaining and educational.

Picture Books:   Follow the globe-trotting adventures of Roger the Elephant, the world’s most famous retired circus star or skip over the The Sahara to visit Jamal and see the heartwarming  bond between Jamal and his loyal dog Mahmud.

Creative Fun: To spark imagination beyond the story, we also produce high-quality colouring books and fact-filled adventure guides that make learning feel like play.
